Last January I started a 365 photo blog, posting a new photo every day and sharing a little bit of the creative thinking behind the shot. By the time fall rolled around, I wasn’t sure I was going to reach my goal of 365 photos, but I stuck it out until the bitter end!

I learned a lot about myself as a photographer during the course of that project… I saw a steady increase in my creative thinking and technical skills, but there is so much more to learn. While I was archiving all 365 photos from last year, I noticed that I have several images that are pretty good on their own. But I couldn’t find many photos that I thought stood out as a cohesive group…

Which brings me to this year’s photo blog. This time around, instead of posting a new photo every day, I intend to post a series of photos every week. The number of photos and topics will vary from week to week, and hopefully some pretty amazing images will be created.

Richard Avedon once remarked "If a day goes by without my doing something related to photography, it’s as though I’ve neglected something essential to my existence, as though I had forgotten to wake up." I think I hear my alarm ringing…
